The council plans to create in excess of two thousand jobs in Brackley, and building homes plays an important part in generating this growth.
The proposed development will lead to both direct and indirect job creation. During the construction phase consideration will be given to entering into local labour agreements and offering apprenticeships where possible. It is anticipated that there will be, at peak times, 100 to 150 people employed on site.

Once completed, the proposed Local Centre will provide a number of employment opportunities within the development. In addition, it is estimated that the proposed new primary school will employ 20 full time staff, 14 support staff and three administrative staff. The additional population arising from the development will increase spending power to the existing provision within the town centre to increase the vitality and viability of local shops.
